New York Fashion Week

Janelle Funari NY debuts her Dream Big collection at NY Fashion Week. I had the pleasure of interviewing her. Janelle Funari New York began its journey in New York City after designer Janelle Funari of Orangia Collection decided to take the leap and move to the big city. Staying true to our beginnings, our designs are inspired from the city-scape and made with love.

Janelle Funari consulted for brands such as Target stores Designer Implementation, Sweet Pea & Eberjey Intimates, leading to the launch of Orangia International Inc. in 2004 featuring contemporary dresses, Children’s sportswear, Bridal collection, sold to Neiman Marcus, worn at red carpet events by celebrities, and sold globally.

Janelle’s grandmother was an inspiration to her as a NYC born rocket dancer, traveling the world dancing wearing her sister’s designs. Her grandmother’s pursuit of following her dreams inspired Janelle to follow hers.

Landing in fashion capital of NYC, the intense city that never sleeps, Janelle found an overwhelming inspiration of energy & romance. The goal of the collection is to capture timeless romance reminiscent of fine time period pieces as her grandmother wore. Ms. Funari’s belief is that fashion can inspire and should be exhibited as an art form, to be revealed as an heirloom piece.

Janelle Funari New York is a division of Orangia International Inc. Janelle Funari’s Orangia Collection designs have been sold at Neiman Marcus nationally and distributed globally, worn on red carpet events on celebrities, featured on TV shows like Keeping up with Kardashians, Run’s House, Bridget’s Sexiest Beaches, and Dancing with the Stars. Her work has been seen in People Magazine, the “50 most beautiful People Edition” cover of NY Post, Vogue, WWD, People Magazine En Espanol, Brides Magazine, The Knot, and Project Wedding.
